As an internal medicine doctor, Dr. David Sharp is specially trained to:

  • Focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases – even rare and complex chronic illnesses.
  • Provide primary care to patients in their teens to the elderly and supervise care in the clinic, hospital, home and work.
  • Develop personal wellness plans focused on preventive medicine.

Dr David Sharp

Dr. David Sharp

Dr. David Sharp was former chairman of Internal Medicine at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha and Medical Director of Senior Health Services for Alegent Health. Dr. Sharp supervises all aspects of patient care and chose to open his private practice clinic to partner with his patients to improve their health outcomes and quality of life. Dr. Sharp is a retired captain of the Army National Guard Reserve.

Dr. Sharp currently serves as medical director for several organizations and various nursing homes. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Physicians, American Medical Director Association and Nebraska Medical Directors Association.

Sheena

BSNRN

Sheena graduated from UNL in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Pre-Med. She was accepted into the Accelerated Nursing Program at UNMC and started in January of 2006 and received her BSN-RN (Bachelor’s of science in nursing) in December of 2006 (a very quick 11 months). Sheena started working at Lakeside Hospital in February of 2007 in the Medical/Surgical floors.

Shannon

Shannon graduated from UNL in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Pre-Med. Leanne Galvin

Nurse Practitioner

Leanne received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Nebraska Methodist College in 2018. She also obtained a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She is board certified by The American Association of Nurse Practitioners and cares for patients with routine and complex medical problems. Leanne is trained in the BioTe method of bioidentical hormones and especially enjoys educating about prevention and wellness.

Julie

Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant

Julie became a MA (medical assistant) in 1995 and has been certified in phlebotomy since 2017. Julie is also certified in CPR. Julie started her healthcare career working in long-term care for 12 years, and then transferred her career to working at Lakeside Hospital and Methodist Hospital on the Medical/Surgical floors. Julie has worked in other medical offices as a MA, including Dr. Sharp’s other practice for 5 years.. She joined our office in February of 2019. She has known Dr. Sharp, Sheena and Shannon for 13 years.
